Where To Find The Korok Seed Guy In Breath Of The Wild

Exploring the vast landscapes of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild often leads to discovering hundreds of hidden collectibles. To use these items effectively, players need to locate a giant, maraca-shaking creature named Hestu who handles your character pouch upgrades. Tracking down this elusive character is crucial for expanding your melee weapon, bow, and shield inventories during your long adventure.
The Initial Roadside Encounter Near Kakariko
Your first encounter with Hestu takes place along the main road leading towards Kakariko Village, shortly after you cross the prominent Kakariko Bridge. The giant Korok stands helplessly beside a tree because a group of nearby monsters stole his prized musical instruments. Players must defeat the surrounding enemies and complete a minor side quest before they can begin trading their hard-earned items for extra carrying slots.
After you buy your first two inventory expansions, Hestu announces his intention to return home to the north. However, the clumsy traveler gets lost along the way, meaning you will have to seek him out at different spots across the map before he reaches his destination.
Tracking Hestu Across the Stables of Hyrule
Instead of heading straight to his homeland, the large musical Korok temporarily stops at the first stable location you visit next. He can frequently be found resting near the structures at the Riverside Stable, the Wetland Stable, or the Woodland Stable. He will happily offer a few more inventory upgrades at these locations before packing up his bags once again.
If you happen to miss him at these standard landmarks, check the main roads leading towards the northern regions. He typically allows a maximum of five to six additional inventory upgrades across these intermediate areas before he officially decides to complete his journey home.
Reaching the Permanent Home in Korok Forest
Hestu eventually reaches his final and permanent destination deep within the mysterious Great Hyrule Forest region. To meet up with him here, Link must successfully navigate the tricky path through the fog-laden Lost Woods. You can follow the direction of the wind and moving embers to reach the safety of the hidden village without getting lost.
Once inside the Korok Forest, the oversized musician takes up a permanent position to the right side of the Great Deku Tree. He will remain in this peaceful sanctuary for the rest of the game, letting you maximize your carrying capacity whenever you return.
